MOTHMA PAGE #16
Burning of Bad Art Ceremony:

The Burning Of Bad Art ceremony consists of at least three high priests, of any demeanor. The High Priests burning said bad artwork must at LEAST have been practicing Mothmanisism for a minimum of THREE FULL Mothmanic years. The only thing that is used to start the coals for the coming feast is bad artwork. (unless of course the art contains incredibly awful toxins that when burned can kill people - those pieces are usually saved for AFTER the feast)
The definition of “Bad Artwork” is as follows;
- The art must be made by a High Priest, Priest or Apprentice
- The art must be chosen by a circle of High Priests and not without the High Priest of Art.
- The art can only be burned if it is first slathered in bacon grease. This is to ensure the art burns slowly, smells good and starts the coals.
- The artwork must be shunned and hated for ANY reason. However a hated musician’s CD is an unacceptable offering and should not be used. ONLY artwork made by a loyal follower of Mothma can be used in the sacrifice
- There can be multiple art burnings in one evening, but must occur only before the feast.
- Should the art be burned after the feast, Mothma will not be pleased and may end up choosing His patsy early, and it may be more than one patsy…. So be warned.
After the Art has spread to the Holy Coals, the Lighting of the Grill ceremony may continue as normal. The grill must still be blessed, and the Mothmanics must thank Mothma before the feast.
This ceremony is not to be confused with the burning of the boxes after the feast. See definition of the Burning of the Boxes. |
